Matteo De Marchi
Ski Experience and Outdoor Enthusiast
Matteo grew up at the foot of the beautiful Dolomites, where his passion for the mountains and exploratory travel began at a young age. He joined the local ski club and competed for many years in FIS races before retiring to become a ski instructor. Meanwhile, he cultivated a deep appreciation for the mountains through climbing, kayaking, and slacklining. Driven by a curiosity about the human body, he earned a degree in physiotherapy. Matteo believes that learning something new is the key to healthy living. After moving to the French Alps in 2012, he also discovered a passion for surfing and skating, which have become some of his biggest adventures to this day.
International Coaching Experience
A ski coach since 2008, Matteo worked in the Dolomites for a few years while completing his studies. Once finished, in 2012 he moved to the French Alps to fully commit to teaching, and practicing freeride, snowboarding, and telemark as much as he could. This dedication allowed him to evolve significantly from his racing experience. After 6 years working with Oxygene Ski School, he founded RYT with a few friends, further expanding his impact in the ski community. From 2017 onwards, Matteo has been primarily based in Val d'Isere, where the luxury of the resort meets the passion for freeride skiing. His passion for adventure and skiing led him to explore the wild Cordillera Blanca of Peru, and in 2019, he guided a freeride trip on the island of Hokkaido.
